Press Conference to Demand Monroe County Protect Homeless Following Supreme Court Decision
RGPR is bringing the following demands to Rochester City Council and the Monroe County Legislature to address the potential impacts and protect our houseless neighbors:
Organize in the Face of Rising Fascism
A Harris presidency would be a continuation of the bad status quo in which we organize. It is not a prospect to embrace with enthusiasm. It is, however, the only available alternative to a Trump victory.
Back to the “Basics of Socialism”: Concepts to Understand Our World and Envision Conditions for Change
The socialist movement cannot dispense with theory, however. It requires a framework by which the mechanisms of our exploitation are understood, alongside an analysis of the history of class struggle. Theory provides a common language to describe our circumstances. By these means, we develop a coherent and functioning strategy to overcome capitalism.
Demand Better, Unite the Left!
We need to cut through the noise of petty cliquism and build a socialist left through principled unity. DSA is uniquely able to do this as the organization at the center of the left, but the only way we can even start that process is through a clear platform. With a clear platform, our conversations can start to be about the programmatic issues facing the left, rather than interpersonal squabble. With a clear platform, we will no longer have to filter our political differences through interpersonal loyalties. With a clear platform, we could unite the left in a substantive way.
