Who We Are

We are activists committed to democracy not only as a political value, but as a means of restructuring society.

We imagine a world where we, the people, have a real voice in the decisions that affect our lives. We call this vision democratic socialism. We are part of the Democratic Socialists of America–the largest socialist organization in the United States. We are not a political party. This is our chapter’s formal platform.

We organize working people. The owning class have the wealth, but they need our labor and our cooperation. That gives us power–if we recognize it and take it.

A better world is possible. Join us in our struggle to build it.

What We Do

ROC DSA works to advance this mission locally. We were founded in 2016 and we are a multi-issue social justice organization with an explicit critique of capitalism. We work in coalition with other local progressive groups, mobilizing for and amplifying their efforts.
